Every Muslim needs to learn Quran, because those who learn and teach Quran get great rewards from Allah (SWT). So, what is the importance of learning Quran? In Sahih International translation from surat Al-Hejr, verse (7), Allah says: “Verily we have sent the Holy Quran, and we will be its keepers”

1. Abud-Dardaa (May Allah be please with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PUH) said, “The one who pursue a way to demand knowledge, Allah would facilitate the way of the Jannah to him.  Verily, the angels bring down their wings to the knowledge seeker satisfied with what he does. Every creature in heavens and earth seek forgiveness to the seeker of knowledge. The scholar is more preferable than the worshipper like the preference of moon, when it’s full, upon the whole other stars, and the scholars are the heirs of the prophets, prophets does not bequeath money but they bequeath knowledge, whoever  dips out from it, so he is getting a plentiful lot. [Abu Dawud and At- Tirmidhi].

2. In another hadith prophet Mohammad (PUH) said: read the Quran as the Quran comes on the day of resurrection as an intercessor for the one who reads it.

3. Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be please with them) said that: The Messenger of Allah (PUH) said, “The one who does not memorize any of the Quran is like a house that is havoc.”

Abdullah bin Amr bin Al As (May Allah be please with them) said: The Prophet (PUH) said, “It will be said to the one who reads the Quran: Read, ascend, and recite as you used to recite in Dunya, because your rank will depend upon the last verse you had read in Dunya. ‘[Abu Dawud and At- Tirmidhi]
